With Universal's Jurassic World: Dominion due out in theaters this weekend, Sony has released an exciting new trailer for David Leitch's upcoming action-comedy Bullet Train, which stars 2x Academy Award-winner Brad Pitt in the lead role as an assassin named Ladybug.

The trailer offers some fun new plot details as well as our first look at Sandra Bullock as Maria Beetle, Ladybug's handler, and the person who sends him on what should have been a simple mission to retrieve a briefcase on a bullet train heading from Tokyo to Morioka. Unfortunately for Ladybug, the easy task becomes extremely complicated when he must face off with a myriad of other assassins to secure the briefcase and make it off alive.

Joining Pitt are Joey King as Prince, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tangerine, Brian Tyree Henry as Lemon, Andrew Koji as Yuichi Kimura, Hiroyuki Sanada as Elder, Michael Shannon as Jay Wang, Bad Bunny as Wolf, Zazie Beetz as Hornet, Logan Lerman, Karen Fukuhara, Masi Oka, Pasha D. Lychnikoff, and Miraj Grbić.

Bullet Train hits theaters on August 5!

An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins – all with connected yet conflicting objectives – set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan.

Love seeing Brad Pitt in would-be sillier roles.

Let's get nit-picky! If he is really going from Tokyo to Morioka, the train would not pass anywhere close to Mt. Fuji. Kyoto is also completely in the opposite direction, so it wouldn't stop there either. Hopefully it isn't Morioka or my suspension of disbelief for this grounded, gritty thriller is going to be completely ruined.

I bet there will be loads of other stuff like that too. The line "non-stop ride through modern-day Japan" needs air-quotes around the "modern-day".

I want one more Oceans Eleven. Add the girl cast too and make it a big fun goofy heist flick

I've avoided the second half of the first trailer, and the second trailer. Stop showing the whole movie in the [frick]ing trailer!

Glad that stuff didn't happen the last time I took the Bullet Train from Tokyo to Kyoto. But looks fun nonetheless. Might not see it in theatres but will definitely check this out.

Erm, another shiny, disposable, popcorn delivery system. The kind you forget about as you're watching?
