Deadline is reporting that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - most recently seen in
Fast Five and the upcoming
G.I. Joe sequel - has become attached to the lead role in
Monster Hunter's Survival Guide, based on Zenescope Entertainment/John Paul Russ' comic book miniseries. The film is produced by
X-Men: First Class' Simon Kinberg, and does not have a director as of yet. The book series is a comprehensive guide to hunt monsters, the undead and unnatural beasts, and survive the confrontations.
Dwayne Johnson has become attached to star in Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide, a live action adventure film based on the comic book miniseries by John Paul Russ that was published by Zenescope Entertainment. The film will be produced by Simon Kinberg through his Genre Films shingle.
