Fast and Furious 6 "like a Bond movie"?

According to Justin Lin the latest installment of the high-octane car racing franchise will be more similar in tone to a Bond movie.

Justin Lin said: "I feel like we're going into Bond territory. We have an antagonist for the first time. The dude's formidable. Basically, it's Heat on steroids."

Meanwhile, Sung Kang - who plays Han Seoul-Oh - added: "This story has nothing to do with money. We got $10m each last time, how much do we need? So it's another heist movie, but our loot's a family member."

The film will reportedly see the gang try to rescue Michelle Rodriguez's Letty Ortiz, who was believed to have died in the fourth film in the series, but is now aligned with villain Owen Shaw, played by Luke Evans. With the stakes raised, the film's star and producer Vin Diesel imagines the tone being similar to Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather trilogy.

He added to Empire magazine: "We're dealing with a character that's lost their memory.

"When it comes down to it, it's a family saga. I've always said we should approach it in a Francis Ford Coppola kind of way."

Also a Featurette has been released for the characters of the film.

@xBlaze96x:
He's referring to the actual plot, not the theme, you moron.

Did I say it was the theme? Where in my comment did I say theme? He said that the tone should be like Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather trilogy. I said "Muscle cars and high octane action should be done like the Godfather trilogy? Good logic Vin Diesel." and no point in calling me a moron over a comment on a website about comic book movies.

@xBlaze96x:
Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't have called you a moron. I apologize. Anyway, the tone of a movie is arguably based on the plot and it's surrounding elements. I suppose their backdrop would be the muscle and import car scenes around the globe.

Kind of like... Cap. America's plot about war and a new tech that has magical properties, but the setting/backdrop is in the WW2 era. Maybe I misunderstood your comment, but [this] is what I meant by mine.
