In the year 2020, robots have replaced humans in boxing. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) loses a chance to become a boxing champion when robots take over, and he becomes a small-time promoter. When he has difficulty making a living, he reluctantly teams up with his son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build a robot that can contend for the championship.

Who knows how it will do? Giant fighting robots is gonna draw in all those people who love Transformers movies.. That's what the execs are thinking anyway.. I swear they think the public are sheep..

I think it looks pretty good. It looks entertaining. As for it being a franchise - No. This would be good as just a one movie deal and let it go.

I love the idea of a live-action Rock'em Sock'em robots movie...and with Hugh Jackman in the lead at least the movie will be entertaining...I for one am tired of 5 robots against 5 evil robots...the idea of a robot fighting tournament just sounds awesome to me...this movie comes out on my moms birthday, I see a birthday present in the future...this is also one of the only movies left this year that I want to see...
