In the outlandish dark comedy SUPER, James Gunn has created what is perhaps the definitive take on self-reflexive superheroes. When sad-sack loser Frank (Rainn Wilson) sees his ex-addict wife (Liv Tyler) willingly snatched by a seductive drug dealer (Kevin Bacon), he finds himself bereft and wholly unable to cope. But, inspired shortly after by fictional man-made superheroes of lore, he decides to fight back under the guise of a DIY crimefighter, the Crimson Bolt. With a hand-made suit, a wrench, and a crazed sidekick named Boltie (Ellen Page), the Crimson Bolt beats his way through the mean streets of crime in hopes of saving his wife.

Super is set to be released in the US on April 1st!

and The Rocker, which had its moments. But yeah, I know what you mean. They're probably using that as an angle in the movie. I think movies like this are gonna help kill the "superhero wave".

At Kapow Comic Con in London they're showing an unknown film only known as "Movie X" :

"A secret, surprise screening of a comic-book blockbuster.
This exclusive screening will be the finale to the show on Sunday 10th April 2011 in a 500 seater auditorium.
The only other clue is that the 2011 film will have a solo superhero as its focus"

I seriously doubt it's going to be GL, Thor, Cap or anything that big soooo
I BET it'll be "Super!"

And this looks like balls lol

@Arminies
He's done quite a lot actually. He's like Brian Posehn, he's "that one guy". He's done some other stuff before where he was in semi-main roles. He was in 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend', 'House of a Thousand Corpses', 'Transformers ROTF' to name a few. He's also
done some television appearances like in the 'Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job'.
