Hilarious "Honest Trailer" For THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK Released

Remember the time a little girl dropkicked a Velociraptor through a window? That's what happened in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and this brilliant "Honest Trailer" for the sequel highlights everything that's wrong with Steven Spielberg's ill-advised Jurassic Park follow-up...

Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World features a fully working theme park (at last!), an idea which director Colin Trevorrow says was inspired by the thought of an unimpressed teenager standing in front of an enclosure with a T-Rex inside. It’s actually that sort of thinking which leads to the creation of a new hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, an intelligent and deadly new creation which soon breaks free. That sounds awesome, and a lot better than the premise for The Lost World: Jurassic Park. The "Honest Trailers" team have great fun picking the sequel apart here, and it will quickly remind you how bad the movie was. Do you agree with their points?

The Lost World is Spielberg's worst film... It's so bad, this only scratches the surface. The "heroes" of the film are responsible for all of the deaths that happen... It's not hubris, or believing they had control when they didn't. Vince Vaughn and Julianne Moore sabotage the other group, which gets their equipment trashed and people injured. She then ignores Goldblum and gets their camp trashed and Toby from the West Wing killed. And they continue to intentionally sabotage and accidentally [frick] up everyone's chances after the other group rescues them and the pool their resources to try to escape.

The entire film is filled with people refusing to follow common sense, and it has plot holes a mile wide. (What ate everyone on the ship at the end? The giant T-Rex was locked in the cargo hold and broke out after the ship ran aground because everyone on board was dead, yet their chewed up dead bodies were in small rooms and such like the control room. It's never questioned or brought up. Logically, there are velociraptors lose on the mainland after sneaking onboard that boat or something.)

@chewtoy

Agree with all your points except the T. Rex on the boat. What probably happened was the T.Rex mauled but didn't initially kill the whole crew. When she went back into the hold, the guy at the controls shut her in before finally succumbing to his wounds.
