Who doesn't love Indiana Jones? From his adventures, the amazing theme song, the iconic whip and fedora, the epic introduction in the first movie. Indiana Jones is an icon for many. After the last outing for Indiana in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it left fans uneven. Some loved the return of Indy but others didn't. Back in February, artist Patrick Schoenmaker was hired by Lucasfilm to create the a series of illustrations for a new set of trading cards all based on an animated take on Indiana Jones. Lucasfilm sold the print online but Schoenmaker wanted to make this project for real.

Lucasfilm never give Schoenmaker the official ok to work on an animated Indiana Jones, he’s moving ahead anyway, working on an unofficial video with the hopes he can use that video to pitch Lucasfilm again. Below you can see some drawings Schoenmaker previously made plus a few seconds of test footage from the cartoon. Schoenmaker still hopes to make an Indiana Jones animated series.

Actually it is a project from animator Patrick Schoenmaker, not a cartoon series that never came to light.

They should totally do this to fill in the gaps in the young Indy series.

This stuff is awesome. I saw it years ago under the fan-art section of TheRaider.net.

I think Lucasfilm should give this guy all the money he needs and make it happen. Its just too awesome not to.
