James Bond Composer John Barry Dies at 77 - Video Tribute

Academy Award winning composer John Barry has died at the age of 77. Fans, of course, know him largely as the man behind many of the James Bond soundtracks. Although the Bond theme itself is credited to Monty Norman, Barry made masterful embellishments to it over the course of the films, along with his original cues.

A wonderful talent. Goldfinger was the best for me of those but I had heard and loved them all. My condolences to his family.

I loved the soundtracks to those early Bond films. They really gave the films that extra little ambience and made them seem even more special and unique.

RIP and condolences to his family.

I loved John's work. "Somewhere In Time"' is one of the most beautiful film scores ever. His work will last and he will be missed.
