BLACK ADAM Star Pierce Brosnan Really Doesn't Care Who Ends Up Playing JAMES BOND After Daniel Craig

Pierce Brosnan is just weeks away from suiting up as Dr. Fate in Black Adam, but when it comes to another of his most iconic roles, James Bond, the actor really isn't interested in who the next 007 is...

A lot of amazing actors have brought James Bond to life on screen over the years, but only one of them has bid farewell to the character in the same explosive fashion as Daniel Craig. In No Time to Die, he killed 007 off in a heroic sacrifice that brought his tenure as Bond to an end in a definitive fashion.

Before Craig took over as the iconic Ian Fleming creation in 2006's Casino Royale, Piece Brosnan played the spy in Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day. The latter was released in 2002, and marked an end of an era for the franchise before Craig grounded the character in reality with that reboot just four years later.

Brosnan will return to the action movie realm with this October's Black Adam, and when he was recently asked by British GQ (via ActioNewz.com) who he would like to see as the next Bond...well, the actor made it clear he really doesn't care!

"Who should do it? I don’t care, it’ll be interesting to see who they get, who the man shall be, whoever he be, I wish him well," Brosnan stated. "I saw the last one, and I saw Skyfall, I love Skyfall."

"I’m not too sure about the last one," he said of No Time to Die. "Daniel always gives of his heart. Very courageous, very strong. But..."

If we had to hazard a guess, Brosnan didn't necessarily approve of Bond being killed, a sentiment echoed by many fans. While we know the reboot will bring 007 back from the dead by starting afresh, killing the character feels like closing the door on him in some ways, especially as he's always lived to fight another day over the decades from actor to actor.

We recently got a disappointing update about when the next Bond actor will be revealed, but hope that some news might come our way in 2023.

Who do you think should be the next James Bond? As always, share your suggestions down in the comments section!

I don't understand why they are so adamant that they MUST cast a Bond for 10-15 years and tell some kind of crazy new story that serves as a reinvention of the character. If Casino Royale been a one-off movie people would've still loved it.

They could easily just cast somebody like Cavil for 1-2 films and tell a few good standalone films.

Daniel Craig's bond was such a rollercoaster, high peaks, low bottoms. Casino Royale, Skyfall, No time to die? all top tier 007. But Spectre and Quantum of Solace? utter dogshit among the worst of the franchise (which has some dooseys between non-Goldeneye Brosdan and non-Goldfinger Moore.) No mid or average Craig Bond movies, just awesomeness and cringe.

@FishyZombie - all Moore movies are non-Goldfinger. Lol.

For Your Eyes Only was my favorite Moore film.

Humbly disagree. No Time To Die was one of the stronger bond films and a great sendoff to Craig’s Bond.
