New SPECTRE Image Sees 'Oberhauser' & 'Madeline Swann' Having A Little Chat

The latest still from Sam Mendes' new James Bond flick features Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz) engaged in conversation (interrogation?) with a very uncomfortable looking Madeline Swann (Lea Seydoux).

In addition to the above pic, British crooner Sam Smith has Tweeted the following image, confirming that he will indeed be performing the new Bond theme for Spectre. Smith was long rumored to be the one that'd be folowing up Adele's amazing Skyfall track along with the likes of Ellie Goulding and Radiohead. Word is we'll be getting a little tease of the song at some point tomorrow.

I'm not a big Sam Smith fan, but he sure has the voice to do a Bond theme justice.

I was really hoping the Sam Smith rumour was just a rumour. (Bond threads require British spelling.) Smith is okay, but he feels like a flash-in-the-pan who'll be forgotten in a few years. Oh well. Before Skyfall we had three straight absolute shit Bond themes. Let's see... Before that Garbage did a perfect one for The World Is Not Enough; a shitty Sheryl Crow song for Tomorrow Never Dies; I'm still on the fence with Tina Turner trying to sound like Shirley Bassey for GoldenEye; I can't even remember who did Licence To Kill but that entire movie was hot garbageso who cares... Really, when you do the math, more Bond themes have sucked than not. It's really just a bonus when you get a Goldfinger or Nobody Does It Better (The Spy Who Loved Me) or The World Is Not Enough or Skyfall.

Maybe they're saving Muse for Daniel Craig's swan song.

Looking at that still, has anyone ever been as creepy and charming at the same time as Christoph Waltz? Blofeld or not I hope he makes it out of the movie alive.

The Craig movies only really have one bad song - the Alicea Keys/Jack White one (though I do give 'em props for trying something different, at least). Otherwise, Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" and Adele's "Skyfall" have been top notch.

@RexDartEskimoSpy ---

Ok dude if you don’t know who sang License to Kill – you are missing out on one of the most epic sounding James Bond theme songs there is. “License to Kill” was by Gladys Knight. Hopefully you know who she is.

Also – the only Bond songs that have not been super ‘Bond’-sounding are “Another Way to Die” by Zack White and Alicia Keys for Quantum of Solace, and “You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell.

In my opinion they need to give a symphonic metal band a chance to do a Bond theme. Kamelot would be perfect. Working the film’s score into the theme song would work for a band such as them. Hopefully SPECTRE’s theme song totally rocks tomorrow.
Also – hopefully you can refresh your memory on James Bond movies and their theme songs.

For god sake, enough of that Idris Elba idea. For now is Daniel Craig, the people behind this legendary franchise are so smart to pick the next perfect James Bond.

"The theme song for SPECTRE will be performed by Sam Smith it was officially
announced today. The track, ‘Writing’s On The Wall’, was co-written by Smith and fellow GRAMMY© Award winner Jimmy Napes and it’s the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965.

Commenting on the announcement, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers of SPECTRE, said, “Sam and Jimmy have written the most inspirational song for Spectre and with Sam’s extraordinary vocal performance, ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ will surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time.”

Smith said: “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”

The song will debut and be available to purchase and stream on September 25."

@RexDartEskimoSpy Your list is erroneous without View to a Kill: a thoroughly bitchin' song. And I actually kind of like Tomorrow Never Dies, if you can separate the song from the fact that the movie is total ass.

@Dev7 No, she's Mr. White's daughter.

And "Oberhauser", riiiiight . . .
