At the Toronto International Film Festival, Jeffrey Wright - who's played CIA agent 'Felix Leiter' in the past two James Bond - has told Coming Soon that he probably won't reprise his role in the upcoming 23rd Bond film, set to be released next year. Wright said that he probably would've 'gotten the call' by now, since filming is set to begin soon and he hasn't heard anything yet.
Wright told ComingSoon.net at the Toronto International Film Festival today that he hasn't gotten the call to return. With filming starting soon for a November 9, 2012 release, we assume the production would have been in touch with him already.
Coming Soon goes on to say that Wright said that a reference to Agent Leiter in the film is possible, despite the likelihood of his not being in the film.
What do you think of the news? Do you want Wright to be back as Felix Leiter, or are you okay with the likelihood of his not returning? Sound off your thoughts below in the usual place.
