Lionsgate's upcoming Ana de Armas-led John Wick spinoff movie, Ballerina, continues to round out its cast, and the latest addition is the man who made The Walking Dead's crossbow-wielding biker, Daryl Dixon, arguably the show's most popular character.

The studio has confirmed that Norman Reedus has joined the ensemble, though no details on his character were disclosed.

“We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to Ballerina," said producer Erica Lee.

The Walking Dead recently aired its final episode, but Reedus will reprise the role of Daryl Dixon for a spin-off show set in France. No premiere date has been announced, but you can check out some promo stills here.

Reedus joins the previously cast Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Keanu Reeves is also expected to put in an appearance as "Baba Yaga" himself, but it's not believed to be much more than a cameo.

Production is now underway on the action flick, which was written by Shay Hatten. Basil Iwanyk and Chad Stahelski are on board as producers alongside Lee, with Len Wiseman directing.

i remember when he was a no body in Boondock Saints, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. Good for him, Daryl was my fav on TWD, which i stopped after S7? Anyways, i hope this show is good. Great cast and i absolutely LOVE the John Wick series

@MotherGooseUPus - Yeah, I remember when my brother and I got his autograph around the 1st season of the Walking Dead for about $20 at a small horror convention he was attending. About 15-20 people were waiting in line, even taking a photo with him was free. The last time he came into town, he was charging more than $100, and had one of the longest lines. I agree, good for him, glad he's having success.

Not a fan of spin-offs but I’m a big fan of John wick. So I’ll probably watch it.

I feel like Norman has become TWD. Give my man a hot shower and a hair cut. But seriously hopefully I see him as a new character and not Daryl. Even on his motorcycle show I just see him as Daryl and ofriends.

I’m glad Norman is expanding his life after TWD. Even though he does the spin off this role in the Ballerina could lead to more opportunities in the John Wick franchise.
