Lionsgate's upcoming Ana de Armas-led John Wick spinoff movie, Ballerina, continues to round out its cast, and the latest addition is the man who made The Walking Dead's crossbow-wielding biker, Daryl Dixon, arguably the show's most popular character.
The studio has confirmed that Norman Reedus has joined the ensemble, though no details on his character were disclosed.
“We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to Ballerina," said producer Erica Lee.
The Walking Dead recently aired its final episode, but Reedus will reprise the role of Daryl Dixon for a spin-off show set in France. No premiere date has been announced, but you can check out some promo stills here.
Reedus joins the previously cast Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Keanu Reeves is also expected to put in an appearance as "Baba Yaga" himself, but it's not believed to be much more than a cameo.
Production is now underway on the action flick, which was written by Shay Hatten. Basil Iwanyk and Chad Stahelski are on board as producers alongside Lee, with Len Wiseman directing.
