Well it seems that the long in development Highlander remake has found yet another screenwriter. According to Highlander Heart, screenwriter David Abramowitz (who was also screenwriter for Highlander: The Series) will give the script of the remake a new polish. He also wrote the story for Highlander: The Game.

The remake has been in development since 2008 with director Justin Lin (FAST 5, FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6), but he left the project to do Fast 6. Summit Entertainment (Who has the rights for the remake) hired Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto, 28 WEEKS LATER,Intruders and the cancelled BIOSHOCK movie). In November 2012 Fresnadillo left the movie due to "creative differences". Afterwards Ryan Reynolds who was chosen for the lead of the movie followed suit.

To be honest, I am actually excited for this. The Series was defitenely one of the best things to come out of Highlander and maybe we might see elements from the series brought to the reboot like The Watchers a secret organisazation tasked to monitor the Immortals and the Dark Quickening.

What are your thoughts of David Abramowitz joining the remake? Sound off below and remember folks:
