Original Cast All Nearing Deals For THE LONE RANGER; Tom Wilkinson Eyeing Up Villainous Role
Ruth Wilson has now finalised a deal to star alongside Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, while Batman Begins' Tom Wilkinson is in talks to play the lead villain. Other stars (named here) are also working out deals with Disney.
Deadline report that casting is once again well underway on The Lone Ranger and director Gore Verbinski has now signed up Luther star Ruth Wilson and is closing up a deal with Tom Wilkinson for the lead villain role of Latham Cole. The studio is also working out deals with Barry Pepper, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale and Dwight Yoakum. All of these actors were originally in talks before the project was put on hold due to budgetary concerns.
