First Round: Action

BOND: The first few minutes of Casino Royale are quite possibly one of the best-staged action sequences of all time. The non-stop adrenaline rush is staged to perfection.

BOURNE: Anytime Jason Bourne gets in a car you know it’s going to be good. The gritty realism of the Bourne series adds a level of suspense to even the most over the top action. The Bourne Ultimatum has one of the best car chases in recent memory.

Second Round: Fight Scenes

BOND: No denying that the new Bond is a much better fighter than the ones of yesteryear. Unfortunately, Bond is not really a fighter and relies on his trusty sidearm for most of his confrontations.

BOURNE: Fight scenes like this one from The Bourne Ultimatum are what make this series great. The violent yet clever use for everyday items provides a level of intensity unlike anything seen in action films.

Third Round: Toughness

BOND: The man is a class act even through gruesome torture. Even after being pounded with a rope on his private region, he is able to be brush it all off with a wisecrack. This guy is tough.

BOURNE: Jason Bourne seems to spend the majority of his time running or getting beat up. No fancy tuxedos, martinis or swanky dinners for this man.
