It's an oldie, but I still think Goldfinger is right up there. Other great Bonds that don't usually make the top list is On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Tomorrow Never Dies.

intruder, I can't agree more about Connery -- although Daniel Craig comes damn close.

The only Bond films I liked are Goldfinger and Casino Royal. The rest were just variations on each other with some being outright shite.

WHY is the 1966 Casino Royale on this list? It wasn't even an 'authorized' film, it didn't follow the book, and it was a COMEDY! WRONG... just plain WRONG!

A lot of it depends on which Bond you grew up with. I grew up with the Connery films, so I'm a little partial. My kids grew up with Pierce Brosnan, and what's funny is that I was watching Goldfinger. My oldest watched about five minutes of it and complained, "Oh my God, there's so much talking!" I couldn't believe it -- this was Goldfinger we were talking about, but he was used to the pacing of the Brosnan films.

I love them all, the James Bond franchise will always be one of my favourites. They might not be the most consisent franchises ever when it comes to quality but I wish there was more comic book movie franchises that would go on without a reboot like the James Bond franchise did. It took them 20 movies before a reboot

I wouldnt mind seeing them turn all the books into new movies again after the third Craig movie. Most of the original movies never followed the books faithfully anyway so it would be cool to see an updated version of them. Of course QUANTUM would have to be the main villain instead of the Soviets & SPECTRE but it would be great to see some new movies based on the original books

Great stuff as always Ed!!

For me, since I have so many favs, I have to break it down into each actor.

Connery: From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball

Lazenby: O.H.M.S.S. (obviously just one film for him)

Moore: The Man with the Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me

Dalton: The Living Daylights

Brosnan: Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies

Craig: Casino Royale and Quantum.

I'd like to add that I'm a huge Bond fan. I have seen all of them multiple times. I grew up with Moore as a kid and became a fan of Connery as my favourite when I got older. I have to say that Casino Royale blew me away and is probably my fav Bond movie of all time. I think they really knocked it out of the ballpark with it.

Why are those people moving around so much for a marathon?! This doesn't count one bit. Most of these people don't even seem to be there for 10% of the proceedings.

When I have massive marathon sessions, I am GLUED to the spot, taking in every frame of the films without distraction, as are most of my buddies.

But that aside, Dr. No (1962) is still my absolute favourite Bond film, followed by Casino Royale (2006).
