This is my first article, so take it easy on me. First, Skyfall is obviously better than Quantum of Solace which was an ambitious movie that fell short. Now to say that Skyfall is the one of the best is a little exaggerated. I believe that this movie was definitely good but a notch below Casino Royale which IS in my opinion one of the best Bond movies. Casino Royale had a very good flow, direction, cast and script.

Skyfall had everything to one of the best Bond movies but there was something in the stucture of the movie that wasn't as impressive as Casino Royale. Casino Royale was a movie that always had you engaged in the story because it was written so well. Skyfall's story is a great concept which was tailored to no doubt rejuvenate the Bond legacy. Skyfall is one of the few movies in my opinion to have such a great cast all around. Daniel Craig performing once again as James Bond and as always gives a great performance. Daniel Craig more than ever gives Bond realism and emotion. What I love about Daniel Craig's performance better than his other Bond movies was that he gave Bond weakness. James Bond is always portrayed as a super-spy that virtually is invincible. In Skyfall, Daniel Craig shows that Bond is not invincible and is actually very human. Craig shows Bond's age but puts emphasis on Bond's determination and heart to show that even though Bond is old he can still beat the living crap out of anybody. Javier Bardem who is an extremely talented actor nailed it for his portrayal of Silva. Silva is very interesting character as he is reminiscent of old Bond villains yet he is in his own right one of the best villains. Silva is smart, conniving and is unpredictable which is very similar to Heath Ledger's Joker from the Dark Knight. Javier Bardem gives Silva a very subtle creepiness. The creepiness wasn't so obvious yet you could tell the character was cold, calculating and just downright weird but great job by Bardem. Once Ralph Fiennes was casted everybody knew they were automatically getting a quality acting performance from him. I loved how his character is naturally worked into the story and doesn't feel forced. So anybody who hasn't seen this movie will like the ending which sets up new anticipation for the franchise. Judi Dench as always gives a great performance as "M" and the exploration of her character's connection to Bond was greatly appreciated. Naomie Harris as Moneypenny was fresh and entertaining so kudos to her. Ben Whishaw's Q was awesome, modern and just killed every doubt I had about the actor's portrayal.

Short story is Skyfall is a decent movie that is up to the "Bond" standard. Very good performances from all of the cast. Movie is beautifully shot with great scenery and very good camera angles. Stunts were very good though it was lacking a little something for me but then again James Bond is supposed to be aged and not in shape so it is somewhat forgiven. Structure wasn't the best but the story was a nice concept. So Skyfall is a good movie that I definitely recommend but is slightly overrated. The exaggeration of its quality is understandable though as fans(including myself) were salivating for a chance to just forget the Bond movie that was Quantum of Solace. So all in all I give this movie a solid 3 stars.

So that's it. Hope you enjoyed my review and please leave feedback(hopefully good) and advice on how to improve future articles is greatly appreciated. So say your piece below.

Definitely Silva was an awesome villain. I think if he had a little more screen time I think the movie would've been much better.
