With Jeymes Samuel's The Book of Clarence now available to buy or rent on digital, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has provided us with an exclusive clip from the biblical comedy-drama to preview the new release.

The film's synopsis reads, "Streetwise but struggling, Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) is trying to find a better life for himself and his family, make himself worthy to the woman he loves, and prove that he’s not a nobody. Captivated by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and His apostles, he risks everything to carve his own path to a divine life, a journey through which he finds redemption and faith, power and knowledge."

To date, the film has received mostly positive reviews, earning a 68% approval rating on review aggregator RottenTomatoes and an 80% Audience Score, It also earned a "B" CinemaScore.

The all-star cast features LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Anna Diop (Titans), RJ Cyler (Power Rangers), David Oyelowo (Selma), Micheal Ward (Top Boy), Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage), Teyana Taylor (Coming 2 America), Caleb McLaughlin (Concrete Cowboy), Eric Kofi Abrefa (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets & Lies), James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness).

Just downloaded a hd copy. May check it tonight...Stanfield is decent but quite a few of the projects i seen him in has been lackluster. Anyone recommending this?

Watched this last night. Pretty good, but a bit tonally all over the place. if you haven't seen The Harder the Fall on Netflix, check that out.
