Following its premiere at CinemaCon yesterday, Paramount Pictures has released an action-packed new TV spot as well as a pair of awesome posters for Joe Kosinski's Top Gun: Maverick, featuring leading man Tom Cruise as he prepares for one last ride. 

Having now seen the movie, I can report that it was well worth the wait, as Cruise brings us the must-see cinematic experience of the year, delivering one of the most phenomenal performances of his illustrious career and reminding us all once again why he'll forever remain Hollywood's ultimate movie star. 

Tickets will officially go on sale on Tuesday, May 3 and it's also been confirmed that the studio will be hosting Early Access screenings on Tuesday, May 24, so be sure to grab your seats as soon as possible because this is one film that absolutely can't be missed on the biggest screen imaginable!

The long-awaited sequel will see the 3x Academy Award-nominated megastar finally step back into his career-defining role as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, with original co-star Val Kilmer also back as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky.

The iconic duo are joined by a supporting cast consisting of Jennifer Connelly as Penny Benjamin, Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, Jon Hamm as Vice Admiral Cyclone, Glen Powell as Hangman, Lewis Pullman as Bob, Ed Harris as Rear Admiral, Monica Barbaro as Phoenix, Charles Parnell as Rear Admiral Warlock, Danny Ramirez as Fanboy, Manny Jacinto as Fritz, Bashir Salahuddin as Coleman, Jay Ellis as Payback, Jake Picking in an undisclosed role, Raymond Lee in an undisclosed role, Lyliana Wray as Amelia Benjamin, Jean Louisa Kelly as Carole Bradshaw, Greg Davis as Coyote, and Bob Stephenson in an undisclosed role.

I'm just waiting for Tom Cruise to be awarded his honorary Oscar for his contribution to Hollywood! His fondness for & dedication to practical filmmaking in this era of CGI landscapes is certain to garner him, at least, that before he retires.
