After appearing in Ron Howard’s “The Missing” and the classic miniseries “Lonesome Dove" Plus directing “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.” Tommy Le goes is no outsider to the western genre. So it's a warm little surprise that he is signing on to write and direct the remake of John Wayne’s 1972 western “The Cowboys.”
The original film featured Bruce Dern. It follows John Wayne as a rancher who is forced to train a group of boys and get a herd to market on time to avoid financial ruin after his cattle drivers leave to look for gold. No one knows if Jones will also play a role.
