This Fall, Academy Award winning superstars George Clooney (Ocean's Eleven; Up in the Air; Gravity) and Brad Pitt (Fight ClubBullet Train; Babylon) reunite for the first time in sixteen years for director Jon Watts' next film, the action-comedy Wolfs

Sony Pictures Releasing and Apple Studios have launched the film's official trailer, which previews one of this fall's most exciting releases as the actors play a pair of fixers who find themselves partnered up on a job that gets wilder and wilder by the minute.

In the film, "Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected."

Prior to Wolfs, the duo previously co-starred in Ocean's ElevenConfessions of a Dangerous MindOcean's TwelveOcean's Thirteen, and Burn After Reading. The pair also had small voice roles in John Krasinski's If, which featured Ryan Reynolds in the lead role, earlier this year, but didn't share any screen space.

In addition to Clooney and Pitt, the cast features Amy Ryan (The Office; Central IntelligenceOnly Murders in the Building), Austin Abrams (The Walking Dead; Euphoria; This Is Us), and Poorna Jagannathan (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani; The Night OfNever Have I Ever).

Watts, of course, helmed the Tom Holland-fronted Marvel Cinematic Universe adventures Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. His non-Spidey credits include Clown and Cop Car. Additionally, while he's still rumored to be in the running to land the job yet again, Watts is currently not expected to return to direct Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures' untitled Spider-Man 4, which is now in the early stages of pre-production.

Watts wrote, directed, and produced this new film, with Clooney, Pitt, Grant Heslov, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dianne McGunigle attached as producers.

Wolfs will open, exclusively in theaters on September 20, and will stream only on Apple TV+ at a later date.

@grif - Agreed.

With the plus of being an original screenplay and not some sequel, reboot, prequel or whatever.

At least Apple tries to do theatrical releases whereas Netflix doesn't care because they only want the single moms doing laundry to watch their mediocre trash at home ^_^

@bobevanz - haha. No joke, anytime I come to visit my mom has some random show or movie from Netflix on 🤣

Movie looks fun. Don't see it doing especially well financially, though I'd hope it does; those two have so much together, and letting them go to town (especially in an action setting) should be smile-inducing.

@IAmAHoot - Of course will not make bank. It's not a known IP. That's the world we live in, unfortunately.

@Fogs - That and, moreover, Clooney just doesn't have the same bankable draw that he used to, was my first thought.

@tylerzero - “Wolves” would imply any sort of joint pairing, which the characters seem to be adamantly against.

@Vigor - same here. And his co-star is Clooney? That's a no-brainer

Random thought and unlikely, but given the strange spelling and the fact they are both playing fixers, I wonder if the title is a reference to ‘The Wolf’ from Pulp Fiction

I hate the title but this looks like a fun buddy film. Clooney and Pitt have great onscreen chemistry.

Looks like run of the mill fun but also a little pedestrian. Clooney and Pitt will do the heavy lifting with chemistry I am sure

This just makes me want another Ocean's film though

Harvey Keitel should be in this movie.

At the very least, QT should get an "inspired by" credit.

That looks like it could be fun so I’ll give it a shot!!.

Clooney & Pitt have had great chemistry in the past and this looks like it’ll be no different…

Also nice to see Watts working out of the franchise sandbox again not only due to his MCU work but his involvement in Star Wars Skeleton Crew aswell.

A trope laden gimmick fest, but sometimes that's what I need.

On a related note - I really liked BULLET TRAIN - didn't see that coming.

This is the movie where Pitt & Clooney will finally kiss.

This is the only film in this site's homepage that's not a sequel, prequel or reboot.

That alone would be a good reason for paying attention to ot. Clooney and Pitt in a Watts film is also a no-brainer.
