Variety is reporting that Himesh Patel, who is coming in hot after box office success of Yesterday, has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's mysterious Tenet. Further details on his role were unavailable.
While not much is yet known about Tenet, the film has been described as an action epic set in the world of international espionage. A brief teaser trailer was also released earlier this month, attached to IMAX screenings of Universal's Hobbs and Shaw.
Patel joins a star-studded cast that also features John David Washington (BlackKklansman), Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Robert Pattinson (The Batman), Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Dimple Kapadia (Dil Chahta Hai), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Kenneth Branagh (Murder on the Orient Express).
In addition to directing, Nolan also penned the script and will produce alongside his wife Emma Thomas. Production is currently underway and is expected to span across seven countries. Nolan is filming with a mix of IMAX cameras and 70mm film.
Tenet is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2020.
