Comic book movie fans are eagerly awaiting this summer's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to bring some martial arts flavor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the meantime, fight fans who have already finished binging the latest Cobra Kai season can look forward to a new martial arts dramedy, The Paper Tigers.

The Paper Tigers hits theaters and on-demand on May 7th and is directed by Tran Quoc Bao. The cast is led by Alain Uy (True Detectiveand includes Ron Yuan (Mulan), Mykel Shannon Jenkins (Undisputed III), Matthew Page ("Enter the Dojo" - Master Ken), Andy Le (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and Yuji Okumoto (Cobra Kai Karate Kid II).

Following an extremely successful run on the festival circuit, The Paper Tigers currently holds a 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score, which is no easy feat. It also bodes well that cast members from both Cobra Kai and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings are involved in the film.

Check out the brand new trailer and synopsis for The Paper Tigers below, and be sure to share your thoughts in the usual spot!

As teenagers, kung fu disciples Danny (Alain Uy), Hing (Ron Yuan) and Jim (Mykel Shannon Jenkins) were inseparable. Fast forward 25 years, and each has grown into a washed-up middle-aged man seemingly one kick away from pulling a hamstring—and not at all preoccupied with thoughts of martial arts or childhood best friends. But when their old master is murdered, the trio reunites, soon learning that avenging their sifu will require conquering old grudges (and a dangerous hitman still armed with ample knee cartilage) if they are to honorably defend his legacy.

The Paper Tigers will release in theaters and on-demand on May 7th. In the meantime, martial arts enthusiasts can hear our exclusive chat with Cobra Kai actor Han Soto below!

OT, but I watched Boss Level last night, new movie starring Frank Grillo and Mel Gibson. I totally recommend it! Really enjoyed the flick, its basically Edge of Tomorrow meets ARQ meets Groundhog Day. Frank Grillo is great (I enjoyed Mel in his role too), the action is sick, there is some good humor too. 9/10

This actually looks like fun. I'm sold.

If done right, this could develop into a good franchise.

Speaking of movies, I just watched Judas and the Black Messiah. Amazing movie. It left me feeling very angry and sad but it was still beautiful. Daniel Kaluuya Should get an Oscar for his portrayal of Fred Hampton and so far this is the best thing I’ve seen in the last year and a half.
