If Astroboy does well at the box office, he will not be saving only helpless bystanders in his movies, but saving his production house, Imagi, as well. Which means more "butt cannons" in the future.

Imagi, though having a hit with TMNT back on 2007, were having deal distribution problems two years after. That placed the release of Astroboy and Gatchaman, another 3-D cartoons, on unstable grounds.

Having iron out their monetary issues with Hong Kong's Winnington Investment House, and some rich Chinese backers. Clearer skies are seen for Astroboy and Imagi who is planning to release one film per year, with quality the likes of Astroboy and TMNT.

Astroboy will be sporting the voices of Freddie Highmore as titular character, as well as heavy hitters like Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Nighy and Charlize Theron. It
will have a wide release on October 23 ranging from China to North America.
