It has been made official that the next arc of Dragon Ball Super will feature the return of Future Trunks! Trunks was last seen defeating the Android and the Cell of his time, while restoring peace to the future in the process. With that said, what new threat brings our future hero back to the past? Next week, the 47th episode of Dragon Ball Super will air, which is titled, "SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Reveals Himself!" A description of the episode (via ANN) was released, that revealed the arc’s main villain, who's name will surely shock the fans. Check it out below!

The episode's plot will start in the future when Earth is free from the Androids' domination. A man named "Black" suddenly appears, and Trunks tries to defend himself. He is no match, even in his Super Saiyan form. Bulma is resolved to make a time machine and ask for help from Goku and Vegeta from the past, but after half a year, she only accumulated enough fuel for the time machine to make a one-way trip. Then, Black appears again before Bulma and Trunks.

Along with the intriguing description, the official Dragon Ball Super Twitter account provided us with the first image for the arc, which gives us our first look at Future Trunks, Mai, and Goku Black (the official name of the man named "Black," as given by Akira Toriyama).

As you can see Trunks’ hair color is changed from lavender to blue. Also, "Black" is seemingly an evil, identical version of Goku. What’s the meaning behind all of this? The answers will be revealed when the arc begins in Japan on June 12. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
