In the near future, Major is the first of her kind: a human who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world's most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people's minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that her life was stolen instead of saved. Now, she will stop at nothing to recover her past while punishing those who did this to her.

ComicBookMovie.com and Best Little Sites was the brainchild of Nate and a friend way back in 2002. Nate initially focused on the back-end programming and front-end design, but now manages the company and its associated sites as well, with a LOT of help from some very talented contributors.

Nate has loved comics from a very young age and continues to read them on a regular basis thanks to subscriptions to various titles (both Marvel and DC). He also loves movies, as his wife and children will attest. He's not overly critical of movies, so his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as he's much more interested in being entertained and escaping the "real" world for a couple of hours than finding every conceivable plot-hole and character flaw in a film.

Outside of his guilty "nerdy" pleasures, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, CrossFit, playing guitar, coaching youth sports and MMA (he spent a couple of years in the cage as an NHB fighter, but is now MUCH too old).

I was prepared to hate this after the reviews and wound up being pleasantly surprised. Not great, but I enjoyed it. Johansson was awesome in the role too.

Don't even remember this being released. Probably didn't need to be made.

Johansson did well in the role, and the film looked good visually.

But the film was boring, with a lack of heart and wasn't engaging.

Maybe could have been done better with a Director who was more suited to the genre.

Not every movie that has SJ must be a very good movie. Yes, we could see her curves but that does not make the movie good nor enjoyable. Another movie that killed the anime. Would say Warcraft and Assassins Creed was better, at least it had a plot.

@JohnSheppardXXL - I don't know how they're able to screw movies like these up so badly. Especially Warcraft should have been great. It needed to be too. Such a waste.

@ImmovableForce - It is easy to screw a movie that should have been a trilogy. Warcraft lore is huge, think about Mass Effect lore or Dragon Age lore... you simply just can't make a movie that you can integrate so much info in 2 hours...that is why Warcraft failed, but if they at least do a high cost TV Series...that would be something else and fans would love it but the price is kinda high and the risks even higher.

I liked the movie a lot. I feel that it kept a lot of the anime however it wasn't as deep when it came to tackling the means of what it means to be human.

I think im in the small percentage of people that liked the movie. It was enjoyable.
The whole cast did a fantastic job.
I do think a lot of people missed out on watching this movie in theaters .

Unrelated I know but I wanna hear you're thoughts: If they ever do a Hollyowood approach for Attack on Titan, do you think they would cast the correct actor race for each character because of the controversy of this movie with ScarJo as the lead of a Japanese character?
For example; an Asian actress for Mikasa and American/ European actor for Eren?

I was thoroughly disappointed with this movie.

I commend them for trying something weird by having the movie being basically silent when it comes to score, but even so I was immensely underwhelmed.
