This weekend, My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission hits theaters. It's the third movie in the franchise, following the success of My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising.

World Heroes' Mission features a threat to wipe out all superhuman powers in the world. In the movie, it's up to Todoroki, Bakugou, and Deku to team up and stop the criminal organization from obtaining their goal with less than two hours to do so.

While Chatting with Bakugou voice actor Clifford Chapin, we asked about how his character's experiences in this film could affect the franchise in the future as well as what makes his character's relationship with Todoroki so balanced, and he went into great detail in his response.

Clifford Chapin: It's always hard to say when it comes to movies and their greater contribution to the continuity. What I would hope for in this instance is that we continue to see the things that are shown in this film, and the moments that are showcased in this film, we continue to see them be validated.

Not so much that these things propel the character forward, but that as the film is viewed as a part of the story at large, it never feels out of place or out of character or anything like that; to which I say, to me, it doesn't. There are some interesting developments for the character of Bakugou that we haven't explored with him. And it was exciting to see them. And so I'm very happy that these parts are explored within this film, just to give us that little bit more nuance to Bakugou when he's viewed as a whole.

It's kind of funny cause with Bakugou and Todoroki it's a little bit of an "opposites attract" kind of situation, but at the same time, there's very much about these characters that are the same. Both characters are very driven, very strong-willed, and very strong-powered. They have awesome quirks, but the dynamic between the two of them and the way that they exert their strength and their presence in situations is very different, where Bakugou is very aggressive in the like, "get out of my way. I'm just going to go. I'm just going to get it done." Todoroki tends to have a little bit more of the like, "Let's think it through, let's make sure this is going to work" kind of situation, which I feel has always exemplified those two elements.

Their personalities are always exemplified every single time Bakugou says, "don't tell me what to do," which I say so much. And especially in this new movie, I felt like I said it more in this movie than probably any other point in the series. And even in the previous movies, which I know for a fact, I said it and to Todoroki, so it's very fun to play off of that. And David is fantastic as Todoroki and it's always a pleasure and a treat to act alongside him. And it's just great. It's wonderful.

What do you guys think of these comments from Chapin? Are you excited to explore the dynamic between Bakugou and Todoroki in My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission?

Be sure to check out our full video interview with both Clifford and Deku voice actor Justin Briner below.

In support of My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, the newest upcoming film in the franchise, I sat down with the guys who voice the main two heroes in the series - Deku and Bakugou!

This is the second time I've had Justin Briner on the show and the third time Clifford Chapin has chatted with us, so the rapport was easy to get into as we talked about their experience and thoughts on the new film.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission hits theaters this Friday, October 29th.
