Akira Toriyama's new manga "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" released it's first chapter just last week and every reader that is also a Dragon Ball fan found many connections between that manga and Dragon Ball. Shonen Jump has now confirmed this new manga does indeed tie in with Dragon Ball's story, here's some quotes.

There are many theories on how this new manga will tie in and where it will be placed in Dragon Ball's storyline. The most popular and logical one being this manga is a prequel to Dragon Ball and we will see baby Goku towards the end of the chapters.
