The next—and potentially final—trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is expected this month, and some upcoming cardboard cutouts have revealed a new look at the movie's leads.

Doctor Doom, the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four are all spotlighted here; many images are familiar, as they've been featured heavily in other promo art, but a handful are new.

There are, however, some noticeable absences. For example, there's no sign of Steve Rogers, the Human Torch, or The Falcon, though that's not necessarily an indication their respective roles in Avengers: Doomsday will be any smaller than the rest of the ensemble featured here. They may just follow somewhere down the line, along with some of the movie's other surprises.

During a recent interview with Collider, Nightcrawler actor Alan Cumming said that being asked to reprise his X2: X-Men United role came "completely out of the blue" and was "really nice."

He added, "I forgot how much I liked [Nightcrawler]. When I look back on last time, I don't really think much about the playing of him and the character — it's all sort of mired in the whole awful nature of the fact that making it was so difficult. He’s got a sensitive side, and he's quite funny. It was nice to go back to something and remember how much you actually enjoyed it."

While Nightcrawler isn't one of Avengers: Doomsday's leads, Cumming promised, "He's got nice bits, but there's a lot of superheroes in that film. It's so nuts. It's like superhero soup."

Check out these shots of Avengers: Doomsday's leads in the X posts below.

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth, and Wesley Holloway all make their Avengers franchise debuts.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, joined by X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden, plus Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron has also been enlisted to refine the story, alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.

They all look great imo but why is that it feels like everyone else is drawn while Red Guardian & Mystique have been copy & pasted onto the white background?.

Anyway i dig Namor’s outfit , reminds me of these from the comics…

Also I wish they hadn’t cut Thor’s hair for this (whether it was a Hemsworth decision or The Russo’s) since it just feels like them trying to capitalize on the Infinity War version which many think is the peak of the MCU version of the character rather then a natural continuation but we’ll see , perhaps they give an explanation for it in the film.
