Sir Patrick Stewart first played Professor X in 2000's X-Men, only for Charles Xavier to die—courtesy of the Dark Phoenix—in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand.
A nonsensical post-credits scene resurrected him, of course, allowing him to return in The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past. The legendary actor then played a Professor X Variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where he died again, this time at the hands of the Scarlet Witch.
Now, Stewart is making his Marvel return in December's Avengers: Doomsday. Playing the "original" version of the X-Men's leader (in a roundabout way), this will be a Professor X pushed to the brink. Why? Well, he'll have fended off countless Incursions and, alongside the X-Men, destroyed those parallel realities to save Earth-10005.
Hot Toys has now unveiled its 1/6th scale version of Charles, featuring a closer look at his costume and wheelchair. Unsurprisingly, it looks like Stewart has been shrunken down, and the likeness with that head sculpt is scarily accurate.
For die-hard fans of 20th Century Fox's X-Men, this will be a must-have, and it joins the Hong Kong-based company's takes on Magneto, Cyclops, and Gambit (based on their respective appearances in Avengers: Doomsday).
This will likely serve as Stewart's send-off as Professor X, as Christopher Abbott (Wolf Man) is taking over the role in Jake Schreier's untitled X-Men movie. Only time will tell how that version of the character differs, but Melton is American, which is obviously comic-accurate.
Very little has been revealed about what to expect from Charles in the next Avengers movie, though we have heard rumblings that he'll help The Sentry rid himself of The Void.

Today, Hot Toys is thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated 1/6th scale Professor X Collectible Figure based on Avengers: Doomsday. This figure features a newly developed head sculpt with detailed wrinkles and skin texture that captures the likeness of Sir Patrick Stewart. To bring this legendary telepath to life, the head sculpt is equipped with separate rolling eyeballs, allowing collectors to recreate his intense focus and powerful psychic stares. A selection of newly developed interchangeable hands is also included, allowing fans to pose him using his telepathy powers or operating his wheelchair.
Professor X comes dressed in a dark navy ribbed inner shirt, a dark navy tactical jacket featuring the iconic X-Men logo, a belt with a matching logo, dark navy pants, and a pair of black shoes. Approximately 24.5 cm tall (including wheelchair), his fully articulated body is built-in with a magnetic function for securely attaching him to his wheelchair. Accessories include his meticulously crafted wheelchair, which features an articulated joystick and rotatable wheels. The set is rounded out with a "Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters" sign and a wooden floor-themed graphic card that recreates the devastating scene as seen in the official trailer.
