The floodgates have opened, and the latest Avengers: Doomsday promo art reveals a first look at Doctor Doom's army of Doombots. Rumours have swirled for a while that he'll have a Doombot army, likely to give the movie's heroes cannon fodder to fight in the final act.
Clad entirely in green (even the armour is green), they look suitably menacing, but seemingly won't be used as the villain's stand-ins, which is frequently the case in the comics.
We're not saying that won't happen in Avengers: Doomsday, but right now, they're pretty easy to distinguish from their master.
A first look at Doomstadt Tower has also been revealed, and it definitely fits in with the aesthetic we saw in last summer's 1960s-inspired The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The question is, will this tower—that immediately brings back memories of Stark Tower—replace Castle Doomstadt in the MCU? We'll have to wait and see, but it seems to be an important location.
Another big reveal is the surprise introduction of Lord Doom. As you'll see below, this appears to be a third version of Victor Von Doom. The costumes we've seen thus far are one he'll wear when he first meets and works with The Avengers, and another that's revealed when his true nature comes to the surface.
This one may be from a flashback to before his descent into villainy, as it appears almost ceremonial. We can't imagine it's Doom's final look when he defeats the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes, but we also can't entirely discount the possibility.
Other pieces of artwork showcase various characters and combinations, including a glimpse of a cartoon Deadpool that seems to confirm the obvious: Deadpool will return in Avengers: Doomsday.
