CCXPMX is taking place in Mexico this weekend, and three of 2026's biggest superhero movies will be at the event. A preview night took place yesterday evening, revealing a first look at displays for Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Supergirl.
Marvel Studios has, unsurprisingly, made those director's chairs part of the marketing campaign for the next Avengers movie. Meanwhile, some new promo shots of Tom Holland's web-slinger can be seen at Sony's booth (the studio, alongside Prime Video, is also bringing Spider-Noir to Mexico).
Supergirl looks set to make its mark, with an impressive display that has put the spotlight on costumes from the upcoming DCU blockbuster. As of now, we don't know whether Clayface will have a presence.
What are the chances Marvel Studios will bring the CinemaCon Avengers: Doomsday trailer to CCXPMX? It's possible, but not likely. Disney surely won't want any fans in attendance to leak a low-quality version on social media. The same applies to any new Spider-Man: Brand New Day footage.
It was recently revealed that Marvel Studios will return to Comic-Con this July for a Hall H presentation. Some believe the first trailer won't be released until then, meaning we may have to be patient for a first look at Victor Von Doom.
During a recent interview, Joe Russo said that Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Doctor Doom was a result of "a long conversation between Marvel, Kevin Feige, and Robert."
"Downey started contemplating his return about 2 years ago, maybe 2.5 years ago," the Avengers: Doomsday helmer continued. "I was at dinner with him in New York, and he had mentioned to me that he was thinking about this, and the concept was for him to play the ultimate villain. He played the ultimate hero, and now he’s going to play the ultimate villain. I thought it was a very clever idea."
