With the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer likely less than a month away, more details about the movie continue to trickle online. By now, we're sure you've seen the rumours about Tobey Maguire returning as Spider-Man, and all signs point to him being the movie's main web-slinger.
Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield aren't expected to swing into the frame until Avengers: Secret Wars, suggesting Maguire will have plenty to do when he, hopefully, crosses paths with characters from the worlds of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Maguire filmed his Avengers: Doomsday scenes while wearing a motion-capture costume.
This means it was either easier to create Spider-Man's suit with VFX instead of a practical costume, or that, like when Holland's Peter Parker wore the Iron Spider armour, he's getting something new that requires a lot of CG. The Russo Brothers appear to have a preference for VFX Spider-Man suits, so this news shouldn't come as a surprise.

Another round of "leaked" costume photos from Avengers: Doomsday has also found its way online today. These claim to show Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, Maguire as Spider-Man, Vanessa Kirby's new-look Invisible Woman, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, for some reason.

The Russo Brothers direct the movie from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's Michael Waldron is also working on the script.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.
