Avengers Endgame: Encore Gets An Epic New TV Spot And Poster As Movie's Two Runtimes Are Revealed

A new TV spot and poster for Avengers Endgame: Encore have been released, but where you watch the movie will determine how much extra footage you get from December's Avengers: Doomsday.

Avengers: Endgame returns to theatres later this month as Avengers: Endgame: Encore, but where you watch will affect what you see.

It's now been officially confirmed that the version on regular screens will run for 3 hours, 3 minutes, and 3 seconds. However, IMAX and Infinity Vision screens will have additional footage, boosting that runtime to 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 14 seconds.

Marvel Studios still hasn't specified what that additional footage will feature. For example, we don't know whether the Russo Brothers have shot new scenes specifically for Avengers Endgame: Encore. Alternatively, scenes from Avengers: Doomsday may be inserted into Endgame's narrative.

A new TV spot and poster have been released today, revisiting the first appearance of each Avenger before circling back to where we found them in Avengers: Endgame. Like the movie itself, it's a celebration of the Infinity Saga and will likely hit you right in the feels.

It's increasingly likely that the movie's $2.799 billion global box office haul will rise enough to dethrone Avatar's $2.923 billion record. Will it become the first blockbuster to reach $3 billion? That remains to be seen.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers' ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the movie features an epic ensemble which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

"Avengers: Endgame is a masterpiece which not only delivers on every expectation you had but exceeds ones you didn't even think about. This isn't just a movie; it's an experience," we wrote in our 2019 review of the movie.

Avengers Endgame: Encore arrives in theaters on September 25.

Honestly , I think it’s more likely that instead of inserting Doomsday footage into this re-release that they likely just show a preview at the end for it but we’ll find out soon…

Anyway , I likely won’t be checking Encore out in theaters but will read the description of the new footage or see it when it is inevitably leaked!!.

I most likely will see it again on the big screen anyway just to see it again, and if there is an extra scene that’s cool, if there is not that’s cool too.

Pay premium price to see a trailer. If you go to this you're the MCU equivalent of a Snyder bot or worse.

Unless you just want to see the movie. It's great on a big screen.

@2BOOKOO4U - Yep, I thought the exact same thing. How dare they try and copy that classic entrance by the Justice League! I hope DC hits them with a copyright lawsuit.

Thor looking so small compared to Iron Man is just wrong.

its ridiculous that they would only add extra footage to the different screens.. :/ Those of use that live in areas that do not have access to the bigger "city" formats are left in the dust... Im not driving 2 hours away to see 3 mins of footage.
