After his noticeable absence in
Avengers: Infinity War, Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton will make his highly anticipated return in the upcoming sequel,
Avengers: Endgame. If the teaser trailer was any indication, he may have abandoned the Hawkeye mantle and taken up a new persona as the ninja warrior Ronin, adding even more excitement to the mix.
As eager as we all are to see Hawkeye (or Ronin) and the rest of the Avengers return to the big screen following the aftermath of
Infinity War, there's apparently still work to be done on
Avengers: Endgame. On the bright side, it appears that reshoots on the movie are wrapping up.
Renner, who has been pretty active on Instagram with vague updates on
Endgame, once again took to the social media platform to wish everyone a wonderful weekend and reveal that he's "almost done on set."
His post comes just a few days after two other key actors in
Avengers: Endgame - one of which is a potential spoiler -
revealed they were also finished with reshoots. The extra work Renner has put in, probably with all that samurai sword training, has left him pretty tired as he hashtagged his post "#needamassage."
Depending on the outcome of
Endgame, it's possible Renner will have plenty of time on his hands to get one. Or he'll be back at it in another thrilling adventure in the MCU. We'll have to wait for
Avengers: Endgame to hit theaters to find out Hawkeye's fate in the Cinematic Universe.
Avengers: Endgame arrives in theaters on April 26, 2019.
