New AVENGERS 4 Casting Call Seemingly Reveals That Nick Fury Will Make An Appearance

Last month, Marvel fans everywhere were left befuddled when actor Samuel L. Jackson revealed that he hasn't signed or read a script for Captain Marvel, despite Kevin Feige's SDCC announcement. Fans were even more perplexed when the 68-year old actor said he hasn't got a call for Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers 4.

While it seemed pretty hysterical to leave someone as important as Nick Fury out of the MCU's most important film, a new casting call has been released that should serve as a beacon of hope.

According to AJC, Avengers is currently scouting for an African-American man, who is between the age of 30 and 50, and has a chest size of 38 to 40. The most important part of the casting call revealed that the ideal candidate will have to be "bald and must have a goatee or have facial hair that you’re willing to cut into a goatee to match the actor." Aside from the age range, the description most certainly sounds like Nick Fury.

This doesn't confirm that Fury will actually appear in Avengers 4, however, it is a strong piece a evidence that suggest otherwise. After being absence in Captain America: Civil War and supposedly Avengers: Infinity War, it's only safe to assume that the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. will show his face come the fourth Avengers film. Even so, we can't be sure until we get an official confirmation.

If I remember correctly, he signed a 9-picture deal, so he can't be in all of them.

But I always enjoy seeing Mr. Fury when I do.

They may have faked his death in Winter Soldier but figuring his only appearance since then was a tiny role in AoU it feels like his character was actually killed off. Weird how they've been leaving him out so much.

@TheBatmanRules - Yeah, now I'm thinking that the Russos actually wanted to kill him off for real, but Marvel didn't let them.

The problem with this casting call is Samuel L. Jackson has looked the same for the last 30 years, do we really need a younger actor for him. Just throw a bit of make up on.

Did they lose the contact info from the previous stunt doubles?

I'm going to assume that it's for an aftercredits scene Captain Marvel since it's set in the 90's. That would explain the age.
