"There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, so when we needed them they could fight the battle that we never could."

Lasts weekend was the best weekend of my life, I saw The Avengers opening night and Saturday in 3-D, based off of acting, directing, visual effects and the films score.

Acting: For me,this films rivals the likes of the Harry spotter franchsise and Christopher Nolan's Batman films. It's that damn good. From Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America to Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury to atom Hiddelston as Loki and most surprising of all in some weird way Mark Rufffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk. The film's acting is just wonderful.

Directing: Joss Whedonknows as a fan and as a director knows what the fans want and knows as a writer and director what this film and it's franchise needs and he pulls I off beautifully.

Visual Effects: The companies who made the CG for this film need to be recognized for their work, as well as Joss for his directing.

Score: I read on here or another site that Marvel hasn't made that one theme that sticks with you, well now they have. I was humming it the entire ride home both times.

Final thoughts: Marvel has released the greatest superhero film to date it has the action, suspense and drama it needed. I felt a grave danger for these characters, Joss Whedon wrote a very strong script and made th impossible the possible. The scene during the credits was worth it and has me amped up for the next film. The after credits scene was humorous and the film as a whole to me surpasses epic. Marvel's The Avengers gets a 10/10 for being beautifully acted, directed, scored and just wow.... Also as far as the 3-D goes, see it in that format, though the best use of it is somewhere in the final battle, where it is I shall not say.

Fan of comic books with dreams to become a writer and director for film one day. Spider-Man, Ghost Rider and Captain America are my favorite superheroes. While Dr. Doom, Thanos, The Lizard and Ultron rank among my all time favorite super villains.

The acting was great, but rivaling Nolan's Batman??? Rivaling the acting chops of Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart among others? That I can't get behind.

I can get behind your review and I agree with almost everything you said. I loved the music in the final battle and the theme song of the movie by Alan Silvestri. Other than that, the music was nothing special.

I have to agree with @antonio that the score was slightly underwhelming. But it wasn't bad in any shape or form.

As for comparing Nolan's Batman vs The Avengers...they are two completely different types of movies. To compare would be, in my opinion, unfair. If you prefer oe to the other...that's fine. It all comes down to personal taste.

So better than Ghost Rider? ;-P
