Jeremy Renner's MCU Co-Stars Rally Around THE AVENGERS Star Following Latest Health Update

Yesterday evening, Jeremy Renner shared an update with fans from his hospital bed. While he's clearly sustained some significant injuries, the actor appears to be on the road to recovery, and his MCU co-stars have been sending their fellow Avenger some messages of support.

Chris Evans (Captain America) kicked things off by saying, "Tough as nails. Love you buddy." Chris Hemsworth (Thor) was up next, adding: "Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!"

Another Marvel Studios Chris also chimed in as Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) responded with, "Continued prayers your way brutha." Josh Brolin (Thanos) also wanted to wish the Hawkeye star his best. "Close but no cigar. You’re blessed," the Mad Titan actor started. "Quick recovery, brother."

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who worked with Renner on that movie, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War, said, "Sending all of our love, brother, and hopes for a speedy recovery." Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi later added, "My brother I love you."

It wasn't just Renner's Marvel family who wanted to share messages of support, though, as the Hawkeye star has also received love from Kate Hudson, Isla Fisher, Penelope Cruz, Jimmy Fallon, Heidi Klum, Vanessa Hudgens, Orlando Bloom, and more.

Early updates on the actor's condition sounded pretty dire, so the fact he was able to share a selfie like the one below - even if he wasn't well enough to write out that message - is very promising indeed.

With any luck, his recovery will be a quick one. There's been no word on when Clint Barton is expected to return to the MCU, though we certainly hope Renner is well enough to head back into action as Hawkeye in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars

Mark Ruffalo and Evangeline Lily (and others, I’m sure), actually “kicked things off” a full day prior.

And the Russos didn’t work with Renner on Infinity War - but we all know what you mean.

@WADEZILLA13 - They technically did work with him on Infinity War. The beginning of Endgame with Hawkeye's family was actually shot and conceived as the original ending of Infinity War, but edited out and moved, as per the commentary track on Endgame.

I know it would've been in poor taste, but it would've been funny if Josh tweeted "fine. I'll do it myself"

@Origame - I definitely wouldn't be mad about it lol. I think he's far enough in the clear, that it wouldn't be too awful of a joke.

@Origame - I wonder if you were in Jeremy’s shoes, would you think that would be appropriate for one of your actor colleagues to say?

@LiteralSense - ...I mean yes. It's called a joke. Get it? It's a quote from Thanos.

If anything, all of this support will make his recovery even quicker.
