Secret Avengers (Part 1) Characters:
Nick Fury- Team leader and mission coordinator. Operates from a secret former S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker near Washington D.C.
Hawkeye- Team leader on the field. He is the tactician on the team. He finds out his brother Barney is alive near the beginning of the movie and questions his past. Has his usual bow and trick arrows. He is one of the characters the film focuses on.
Black Widow- Second in command. She is the infiltrator on the team. She is a potential love interest for Hawkeye. She also hooks up with Bucky before the movie is over. Has her gauntlets and dual pistols.
War Machine- Main firepower of the team. He is wearing his stealth armor in this movie.
Falcon- Scrapper of the team. He also can act as an infiltrator. Has usual suit.
Punisher- Recruit of the team. Anger issues and turns to violence first. His past would already have been explored in the Netflix series. Has arsenal of weaponry along with his battle van.
Winter Soldier- Bucky. Muscle of the team. Also a keen mind for combat and strategy. Suffers from flashbacks of the people he killed while under Hydra's control. Still has his cybernetic arm, while also using a sniper rifle, assault rifle, and SMG. He is one of the characters the film focuses on.
Taskmaster- Master of combat. He can copy his enemies' fighting styles within the first few seconds of the fight. He has a shield, sword, and bow. He is one of the characters the film focuses on.
Trickshot- Barney Barton, the long thought dead brother of Clint. His return has enormous consequences for Clint. He is almost at the same level of skill and accuracy as Hawkeye. He has a bow and trick arrows.
Bullseye- Master assassin and has better aim than Hawkeye. He would already be developed on the Daredevil Netflix show as a mercenary psycho sadist. He is in this job for the money promised by
Crossbones, and much to Rumlow's dislike, frequently disobeys orders.
Crossbones- Same character from Cap 2. Rumlow wants his revenge on Black Widow and dislikes Bucky for being a traitor to Hydra's cause. He is the team leader on the field, and acts as a liaison between the assassin team and their employer.
Spymaster- Freelance spy and assassin hired by Rumlow and his benefactor before the events of the movie. He mentions that he has a long history with Justin Hammer, and that is where he got his technology from. At some point he met and teamed up with Unicorn. He is the main strategist of the team.
Unicorn- Unicorn is the muscle/tank of the team. He is a former KGB agent in his 40s that went off on his own after the Soviet's fall. He eventually met and teamed up with Unicorn prior to the events of the film.
Big bad- The big bad is MODOK, who himself is being manipulated by the (real) Mandarin. The team, however, does not know this. MODOK is the leader of A.I.M., a sort of splinter group of Hydra. (After Killian died, S.H.I.E.L.D. took it over. SHIELD fell, you know the story.) MODOK's main goal is to bring the Red Skull back. Plot The team starts off as Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, and Falcon recruiting Punisher as a member. Punisher says no at first, until Nick Fury shows up. Punisher knows they mean business, and accepts the offer for one mission.
The mission is to take back Loki's scepter from A.I.M., who is studying it. (Strucker gives it to MODOK for research.) Punisher, along with Black Widow and Falcon, breaks into an A.I.M. facility. He shows that he is a ruthless killing machine, and shows no mercy to the guards or scientists. On the other side of the facility, at the same time, Bucky breaks in. (This is not a coincidence. Bucky has been following Widow since Cap 2.) He decides to help the team steal the scepter because he wants to destroy any Hydra personnel he can find. The four escape the warehouse safely and return to Nick Fury's base.
When they are right outside the base, Castle realizes they were being followed the whole time. Unwilling to give away the location of their base, the team takes the battle into a nearby warehouse. The assassin team enters, while Widow calls the rest of the Secret Avengers. The teams proceed to battle with a lot of cool action and stuff. (The Secret Avengers come quickly because they are so close.) Bucky faces off against Unicorn, but can't seem to make much headway. Castle fights Taskmaster, to no avail. Widow takes on Spymaster, while Falcon once again takes Crossbones in hand to hand combat. Hawkeye takes Trickshot. Barney knows he is fighting his brother, but Clint is unaware. Bullseye is just causing mayhem and quickly takes out Fury.

Frank eventually gets corned by Taskmaster. He takes out his assault rifle, but instead of shooting Taskmaster, he shoots Trickshot in the jaw and back from across the building. Hawkeye helps out Castle by hitting Masters with a net arrow, trapping him. Castle and Clint notice the weak spots on Unicorn and take him out. The assassin team escapes except for Trickshot. Clint pulls the mask off and in shock realizes that Trickshot is his brother Barney. He is understandably shocked.
Bucky is still dealing with catching up to the present. He and Widow have a conversation about Cap and what really happened.
Meanwhile, at the A.I.M. hq, the team meets with MODOK and they are wondering what to do next. This is told from Taskmaster's perspective. He is sitting in the corner, just listening to the others argue and staring into space. The camera zooms into his eyes and changes to Hawkeye's point of view.
Clint is standing over his brother, yelling at him. After getting his jaw fixed up and after interrogation by the Punisher, Barney reveals that he faked his death because he felt betrayed and jealous that Clint was invited to S.H.I.E.L.D. He was exploited by Alexander Pierce (who helped Barney fake his death) and joined his personal hit squad, which included Rumlow. He apparently had been brainwashed, although Barney keeps repeating that he did what he did for himself and out of his own will.
Let me know how I did on my editorial debut, and if you guys want to see part 2.
