Official AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Character Badges; Possible Hint At “Rising Tide” Villainy?

Following ABC Network finally picking up the Joss Whedon-created television series based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s peacekeeping organization, official Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. badges have surfaced online, identifying each core member of the elite group and their roles. One character’s identification mentions a “Rising Tide,” which appeared on a mysterious video (with The Incredible Hulk’s Abomination) yesterday that ABC has yanked from the net … hinting at the show’s villains?

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

there is a character named Skye that appeared in 3 issues of War Machine and was introduced in spider-s tagneld web. I've never read the issue so perhaps someone who has the issues can have a look at it.

She appeared in:

War machine #18, 20, 23
Spider's tangled web #2

She died in issue 23 of war machine

@ Fearless

Yeah it looks boring and I do not see all the excitement over this. I hope this is not some stupid CSI meets X-Files crap. It looks blah to me but to be fair that is how I felt about Arrow when I saw teasers etc.. So I shall reserve my full judgment till I see this.

For [frick]s sake! Coulson never died, people! Remember, no body = no proof. That's why Cyclops is still alive as well.

It was blatantly obvious as hell Son of Coul didn't die. Whedon has this thing where he likes to kill off characters unexpectedly and violently (See Wash - Serenity), then make damn well sure the body is gone. That, plus the dialogue between Hill and Fury afterwords damn well confirms Coulson never died. If you thought he did, well, you've never read an X-Men comic in your life (Reference to the quintillion times Xavier and everyone else has bit the bullet).

Coulson lives!

"A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats"...

So are they an extremist group looking to regain equality in the face of a changing world of super beings? Is it an ironic use of it, referencing failed trickled-down ideas of benefiting the super-wealthy? I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with that.
