Speculation that The Avengers would be facing off against aliens in the upcoming movie has been running rampant for a very long time, with recent set photos featuring actors in motion capture costumes and wielding strange looking weaponry seemed to confirm it. Well, the latest "alien" related clue comes in the form of what appears to be a spacecraft! Many thanks to Twitter's @Mary082864 for the following image.

I still say it's the Kree. It would open doors to many more chapters. Using the Srulls or Atlanteans first would be lame sauce for the first chapter. Marvel has proven to always be thinking farther ahead than we give them credit for. The CGI outfits could be used for the same reasons as Green Lantern's film. Not because they "need to" per say. Plus, aren't the Kree like 7 feet tall? CGI could fix that don't you think? The weapons are very Kree like and i wouldn't be surprised if Whedon AND Marvel wished to incorporate the best female superhero since Wonder Woman in their movieverse; Ms Marvel.

The Kree could be needing the cosmic cube to win their homeworld war against the Skrulls and Loki could use that to attempt to destroy Thor and The Avengers. After all, Fury IS in posession of the cube at the moment. And it could set up a pretty epic Kree/Skrull war overspill on Earth for the sequel. Hell, throw in the Atlanteans in there becoming allies with humans against their will for the preservation of the planet. It just makes sense.

the men in motion capture suits are playing frost giants...loki beams them into new york...the strange weapons they have are actually alien weapons which loki robs from an alien race which some have mentioned...needless to say they are not happy and do make an appearance but only at the end which sets up a sequel..i have already said too much...take it or leave it

i never said the frost giants suddenly became intergalactic spacers..i just said that they come to earth...look at loki in the trailer..wats he holding..hmm looks like a alien weapon..shudnt he be using his staff? the weapons they acquire are much more powerful but again when loki robs them earth pays a huge price for his actions...come on guys...im trying to give you good info here

Maybe it's Asgardian.

Maby this is how Thor gets back to Earth, maby he crash lands, SHIELD not relising its him send Cap, radio contact is lost, Cap and Thor fight (Didn't Hemsworth say the Avangers would beat each other up?), before they can kill each other SHIELD arrive and they both stand down.

Could explain Cap and Thor having respect for each other.
