He was good in the Burton films, but he'd suck as Batman/Wayne in Nolan's films.

Keaton reminds me of a thinner version of my dad thats why I could not take him seriously as Bats...
I like Bale's "Bat Voice" it makes the character more intimidating...

creepy pic...ya'll agree?
where is the dark eye makeup bats?

TOP JOKER LINES:

10: Haven't you ever heard of the healing power of laughter?

9: Hello, Vinny. It's your Uncle Bingo. Time to pay the check!

8: Jack? Jack is dead, my friend. You can call me... Joker. And as you can see, I'm a lot happier.

7: I have given a name to my pain, and it is Batman.

6: Where does he get those wonderful toys?

5: Never rub another man's rhubarb.

4: Gotham City. Always brings a smile to my face.

3: My face on the one dollar bill.

2: Remember... you... are my number one... guy!

1: Wait'll they get a load of me.

@deadshot exactly y bale is the best batman

@every1 every1 agrees that bale ist he best bruce wayne but he is also the best batman cuz of his voice but i think keaton is a second....tho if kilmer had a good director and writer like bale and keaton both had then kilmer imo wouldve been better than keaton but still 2nd to bale

the best batman, with keaton, you will never suspect that a multi millionaire bruce wayne is batman. when he is wearing the cowl a totally different persona, speaks less and always in the dark. what should a batman be.

my fav stuff about keaton's batman was that he didn't even need to talk.. (much less growl)... he would just give you that stare and you can see it in his eyes that he/batman was calculating his next move or options.... classic...

and i also agree that, like Christopher reeve, you do get a sensation that its a diff persona, almost a diff guy completely.. bc, well, keaton is an underrated actor..

One of my favorite actors of all time, Bale my favorite Batman & Keaton is my close second I enjoy Keaton many people compare his & Bales Batman but looking at it both have done great Keaton's Batman is silent, cool, calm & collective his inspired Batman the Animated series, Bale's is the bada**, raging beast, obessed with solving cases and protecting Gotham much like on The Batman cartoon, Batman Gotham Knight, & the darker comics of DC, I love both of these guys as The Batman. I wish Keaton could have a cameo in The Dark Knight Rises maybe he and Bale as Batman when Batman is walking and Keaton smoothly says "Nice suit or nice outfit" that would be so nice. Michael Keaton along with Christopher Reeve paved the way for many comic films we see today in DC, Marvel and any other I am honored to have both of Keaton's Batman films in my collection, heck maybe one day if he is available if WB/DC decides to do a Batman Beyond live action movie "sort of BladeRunner style updated" Keaton can play old Bruce, and maybe one day also Chris Nolan may say hey I want to do another Batman film lets say 15-15 years down the road and that film is The Dark Knight Returns, Bale can play an older Batman I would luv that, I know at one time Zack Snyder wanted to do The DK Retruns may 15-20 years from now and have Bale again as Batman sort of what Quiton Territno is doing with Kill Bill 3, but Michael Keaton is the man, with Batman 89 the film showed us you can change certain things that need to be changed from the comics and still remain respectful to the comics such as Batman suit, great actors, great franchise may Batman continue on the right way, God bless U all :)

batman 1989 my favorite comic book movie of all time! Keaton and Bale are different. Keaton plays an excellent mid 30's batman, while bale plays the batman year one version perfectly. I think it's so awesome that Batman 1989 and The Dark Knight are both on the "list of 1001 movies to watch before you die"!

I'm waiting for Bale's Batman to clear his throat during the next movie and say, "Okay. You know what? I'm just gonna talk normal now. I'm gonna be mute by the time I'm 50 if I keep this up."

Michael Keaton's Batman is the most important because it showed the general public that Batman doesn't have to be a silly cheesy character which was the accepted view before the 89 Batman movie. So I hold Keaton in very high regard for his performance it saved Batman in the modern age.
