God of War art director Raf Grassetti has been sharing some awesome designs for characters from the classic Batman: The Animated Series to his Instagram page, and he's now added two more villains to his series of portraits.

Joining Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Bane, Killer Croc, Penguin, Clayface, Man-Bat, CatwomanPhantasm, Mr. Freeze and The Ventriloquist, we have one of The Dark Knight's most well-known foes, The Riddler, and seductive femme fatale Poison Ivy.

Ivy has made it to the small screen in both live-action and animated form, but the only movie version we've seen was Uma Thurman's much-maligned take in Batman and Robin, so it's fair to say the character is due another go on the big screen. Many would feel that Jim Carey's interpretation of The Riddler in Batman Forever was more successful, but fans are looking forward to what will hopefully be a more serious and chilling portrayal of Edward Nashton in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

Batman: The Animated Series is an American superhero animated television series based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. Developed by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Mitch Brian, and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, it originally aired on Fox Kids from September 5, 1992, to September 15, 1995, with a total of 85 episodes. For the final fifteen episodes, the series was given the on-screen title The Adventures of Batman & Robin, which was also used for reruns of earlier episodes. The series became the first in the continuity of the shared DC animated universe; spawning further animated TV series, feature films, comic books and video games with most of the same creative talent.

Grassetti has decided to focus on the villains first, but he assures us that there's "just a couple more" to go before he starts on the heroes.

Great art for a great Rogue's Gallery.

I'd love to get a Batman game with this artstyle.

If only we could get Raf to do the art for an Animated Batman Movie, a CG movie in this art style, based on the DCAU would be awesome!

This is a Batman thread, but i just wanna take this moment to say that God of War was f*cking amazing and i can't wait for its sequel.

To have something like this for Thor or WW, whether for their comics/movies or -you guessed it- videogames, would be damn special.

I'm no expert so maybe i'm saying some dumb shit, but...i'd really like to have these people behind any given medium of my comicbook characters. :3

@Doomsday8888 - God of War 2018 is such an incredible game, especially in how it's a top to bottom evolution of the series. The first three games have really fun, fluid hack-and-slash combat, but there's a richness to the axe and the brand new combat design in Gow '18 that wasn't there before. Also loved how he took a dude who was just rage machine with one goal and turned him into the centrepiece of an incredibly touching father-son road trip story, and made him feel way more fleshed out and defined as a character. Also, it's just [frick]ing fun to throw your axe into a dude's skull, haha.

Amazing, every word of what you've just said was...100% straight facts! ;)

The story, the ost, but also their business model.
Everything was perfect.

I was totally in love with the father-son relationship and it's something that i could experience over and over again and i would never get tired of it!

@TheJustinHammer - Yeah, the gameplay is very fun but Kratos' motivations all feels like a character in service of the gameplay, while in the new game the gameplay and the character work go hand in hand. If that makes sense.

@LongMayHeReign - Did you enjoy Remake? I did but didn't at the same time because once you left Midgar was when that game really appealed to me originally and now I have to wait, what, 2 or 3 years for the next part? No Golden Saucer, no snowboarding, no chocobo races? Arghhh... But the graphics are definitely amazing for sure.

@KingGrimlock - Remake is my very first Final Fantasy game ever, so I wasn't anticipating any of the stuff you mentioned. But I loved this game and know that it opens up even more from here so I can't wait for the next one. I'm doing my hard mode playthrough right now, I will get the platinum trophy for this as I only go for it on games I really love.

@CaptainJCipher - To be fair Kratos struggled with letting Pandora die because she reminded him of his daughter Caliope. The first time he encounters her he hears her voice call out "Father?" and thinks it's his daughter but was mistaken.

@CaptainJCipher - See I don't he ever was redeemed in GOW3. He tried to spare Pandora protecting her from herself but in the end Zeus' taunting drove him right back into a fit of rage and he let her die so that he could fulfill his desire for revenge. In the end he doomed the Greek world and all who lived in it.

Kratos was 100% a villain in the first 3 games and it wasn't until part 4 did he find some semblance of redemption, as he was given a second chance to be a good father and has so far made good on that second chance.

Love that Riddler but he should't have a mask in live action. Like, everyone knows he's Ed Nygma, what's he hiding?
