With Ben Affleck upped to an executive producer on Justice League and DC Entertainment Chief Content Officer Geoff Johns now in charge of DC Films, these two men are undoubtedly shaping the future of the world inhabited by some of the world's most iconic superheroes. After confirming that he's writing The Batman with Affleck, Johns is taking a break from comic books for a while, but he'll be going out on a high after penning the shocking DC Rebirth #1 (more on that can be found here).

In the video above, Affleck has nothing but good things to say about Johns, and offers some incentive as to why fans should be heading out at midnight tonight to purchase a copy of the game changing comic book.

"I would read anything by Geoff Johns. F***ing genius, I love him. I love DC, I’m really excited about where it’s going, and I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled to be on board and part of this DC universe."

Will you guys be checking out this issue once it goes on sale later today?
