@webheaded - Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum voiced those characters in The Lego Movie too. I'd assume because they knew the directors from the Jump Street movies.

Wow so many winners in there! Zouks, Conan, Garfunkel and Oates, Eddie Izzard. I think Conan and Arnett are friends so that makes sense, kinda surprised not to see Andy Richter's name up there.

They should do a live action short of everybody suited up in their character's suit.

Sidenote: this pose makes Kong look like a cross between a bear and American Werewolf in London.

Never realized the infamous Brett Ratner is a financial backer behind the LEGO films as well as BvS through RatPac-Dune entertainment. James Packer is trying to unload his shares in the venture.

Another sign of trouble or could this be nothing?

@Forthas - They're not involved creatively, just financially. If the RatPac deal goes bust, WB will either have to pay for the films by themselves, or find another backer.

PrimitiveMan - 2/3/2017, 7:14 PM
@Curmudgeon @Forthas - Still though, losing financing might cause WB to take a much harder look at their film division, which is definitely needed.

I wish there was a scene where Scarecrow poisons Batman and he sees several versions of his cinematic self and got Micheal Keaton, Vale Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck & Adam West to cameo in the film.

I bet Voldemort, Sauron and King Kong will be featured only in a post-credits scene advertising them as the baddies for The Lego Movie Sequel. And Phyllis will probably be Emmet's sister (an appearance by his sister in the sequel has been teased by Lord & Miller).

So we're just gonna ignore the fact that the dead-tooth chick from Raising Hope is playing Clayface? SHE'S PLAYING CLAYFACE. CALL ME A NOISY SECURITY ALARM, BOYS 'CAUSE I JUST BEEN TRIGGERED.

Honestly it's pretty stupid casting and I'm a little bothered by it.
ChiliConCarney
ChiliConCarney - 2/3/2017, 4:19 PM
@BrettMan - I'd be more concerned if she were cast in a live action, serious take on Clayface. What do you think of Doug Benson as Bane? He's gotta be better than Tom Harry's voice (I was always really critical of his voice for Bane. Whenever I hear it, I can picture him saying "No, Batman, the salad fork is on the other side!"). I love Benson as a comedian but for the role, to me, he seems as comedic a pick for Bane as Kate is for Clayface.
ChiliConCarney
ChiliConCarney - 2/3/2017, 4:23 PM
@ChiliConCarney - Er... Tom Hardy's...
BrettMan
BrettMan - 2/3/2017, 5:03 PM
@ChiliConCarney - Yeah, but she's got a pretty distinct voice. A high-pitched female voice. And a funny way of talking that's difficult to describe. I'm sure Clayface won't do more than grunt a few times and run in the background, but it's the little things that I find stupid. Also I harbor an irrational hatred for that actress.
Dkoula
Dkoula - 2/3/2017, 5:49 PM
@ChiliConCarney - Doug has a podcast called Doug Loves Movies in which he does a Bane impression every single time. It would be in the hundreds at this point. Hilarious casting.
ChiliConCarney
ChiliConCarney - 2/3/2017, 6:49 PM
@BrettMan - Fair enough. While I like her I can't deny it is a weird casting. I know how deep seeded irrational hatred is.

@Dkoula - I forgot about his Bane! I switched from Doug Loves Movies to Getting Doug with High but really haven't been listening to his stuff for a while. I'll have to get back into DLM before this comes out...
