Yesterday, several major spoilers for Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II surfaced from an unlikely source: the makeup team behind former model Heidi Klum's latest incredibly elaborate Halloween costume.
Mike Marino's ProRenFX, which also worked on Reeves' beleaguered sequel, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Klum's gruesome, severed hand outfit, and some interesting details relating to the long-awaited movie were spotted in the background.
Some fans were convinced that this might have been a deliberate attempt to trick people (highly unlikely), but the Insta post was deleted shortly after the details began to circulate.
Along with a container labeled "Zsasz," one labeled "Owl 3," and another labeled "Koch" (possibly suggesting that actor Sebastian Koch will also don prosthetics to play his mysterious character), a face mold that looks a lot like Brian Tyree Henry would seem to confirm that the Eternals actor is indeed playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
If Henry is playing Dent, we can probably assume the rumor that Sebastian Stan is actually playing twisted serial killer Victor Zsasz is also accurate.
Fans have now gone back over the X posts Reeves shared when he officially announced the movie's new cast members, and some are convinced that the "Welcome to the party, man…" caption on Henry's post was a hint that he is really playing Dent.
"Partyman" is the name of the song Prince released for the soundtrack of Tim Burton's Batman, and the music video features the late artist wearing the Joker's makeup on half of his face (the crowd also wears similar masks).
While this is obviously not a direct nod to Dent, Prince does look more like Two-Face than the Joker in the video, and we could see Reeves using this as a clever clue for someone to put the pieces together.
Then again, there's every chance fans are reading way too much into this!
Production recently resumed, with Steven Soderbergh stepping behind the camera to finish principal photography after Reeves was forced to leave the set to deal with an ongoing family matter.
"Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II," Reeves clarified on social media after the news broke. "I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes."
Robert Pattinson has shared his thoughts on Soderbergh stepping in to help finish the film.
"I am so happy he's come on to help Matt," the Primetime star told GamesRadar. "It's incredibly generous of him – and he's doing it in the loveliest way. It's completely selfless."
"I think Matt had put so much work into the script, and we're almost done," Pattinson continued. "So for someone to come in and say, 'I just want to help Matt do it; I want to do it in conjunction with him and just get it to the edit.' And to have someone who's as talented as Steven doing it is great."
Pattinson also confirmed that cameras are rolling again. "I think they're in production already. And I'm starting in a couple of days."
DC Studios previously revealed that Soderbergh was the one who approached Reeves with the offer of help. Reeves is believed to have completed around two-thirds of the film, so the Ocean's Eleven director does still have a bit of work ahead of him.
The Batman - Part II is set to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
