The Batman Part II has resumed filming in the UK, and the Caped Crusader has been spotted on the same police motorcycle he was last seen riding while attempting to escape the Gotham City PD.
Offering perhaps our best look yet at the new Batsuit, the bloodied Batman has donned a cowl with longer ears and a costume that appears more armoured and surprisingly similar to the Arkham Knight video game design.
All signs point to Batman being at odds with the GCPD in The Batman Part II, raising some very interesting questions about where the sequel is heading. The Dark Knight was hailed as a hero at the end of the first movie when he helped the flood relief efforts, but is he now being blamed for The Riddler's twisted actions?
We'll have to wait and see, but with The Batman Part II's villain still a mystery, we can only guess the direction this movie will take the hero in. You can find our breakdown of other set photo reveals here.
"I think it would be kind of tough to have this version of Bruce outside of that world," Robert Pattinson recently said of why he doesn't think his Batman would fit into the DCU. "It's one of the only characters, I guess, because of the length of the shoots, but also it's such a specific kind of [style], the tone of it gets inside you."
The actor later pointed out, "It’s so funny, because Gotham is Watford. It’s a shed in Watford. There’s something so destabilising about when you're just, you're in the dark the whole time. mean just for eight months in the dark and you literally have no conception of being connected to anything in the world. [It's] difficult to even maintain your sanity."
As of now, DC Studios still hasn't cast its Batman for The Brave and the Bold, a movie that's seemingly trapped in development hell. Hopefully, the new Skyance regime will push James Gunn and Peter Safran to prioritise the DCU's Batman as well as Pattinson's Elseworlds version.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script by him and Mattson Tomlin, The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.
The Batman Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.
