The other day, MTV posted a humorous skit involving Ben Affleck's The Accountant co-star, Anna Kendrick, jokingly asking the actor/director if she could play Robin in his upcoming solo Batman movie. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but many fans got behind the idea of Kendrick suiting up as an incarnation of The Dark Knight's sidekick, and now it looks like Joe Manganiello is determined to keep interest alive.

The former True Blood actor shared the below image to his official Instagram page, along with the caption "Deathstroke and Robin." Some fans took this to mean that the actress had actually landed the role, but it's far more likely the pair are just having some fun here.

Would you like to see Kendrick as Robin in Ben Affleck's The Batman? How about Batgirl instead? let us know in the usual place.

I don't mind her as Batgirl but the stupid TDKReturns themes need to stop in the DCEU....

We done it with Batman in BvS....now lets move on....

@Brainiac13 - i agree with you man, TDKR is not the only GREAT Batman story. for what the New 52 was, you have to give Snyder credit on Court of Owls. that was a great story line

@spiderman620 - batgirl maybe. Let's also not forget other characters like Stephanie Brown (4the Robin and Spoiler). Or maybe even Ravager since she's standing there with Deathstroke.

@Brainiac13 - That's precisely what they are doing. Zack Snyder used it to get Batman in the hopelessness mindset that would make a duel to the death between Batman and Superman plausible. But the story was about finding hope. So he cast off his Dark Knight Returns persona as a result.

@Ivy182 - that's a good idea but I have to respectfully disagree. Batman is a considerably dark character so if you bring in an actor to play Nightingale and bring in her as Batgirl you can play that relationship from the comics to add a little levity. You can do this other ways of course but it would be a good way to bring females into the theater

She's too old. For both Robin and Squirrel Girl.

Jeez...they're really trying to force this shit...

Boy or girl, Robin sucks. Batman has always been better solo.

@TheSanitizer - Robin sucks? I thought that Tim Drake was really cool, and so is Jason Todd. And how can you hate Dick Grayson?
The only Robin that sucked was Damian Wayne. He's a d-bag

@VictorMancha -
Hahaha
Well, I never, just personal taste, liked Robin. He's a corny, cheesy character. The costume and the idea of him being Batman's sidekick has always sucked to me-- no matter which version.
I just find Bruce Wayne/Batman more psychologically more interesting on his own with the only person who really knows and understands him being Alfred.
And to me, from a look and action perspective, I think Batman works best alone.
He's a beast that comes out of the shadows. He's more frightening and vicious. I think Robin kills that image of Batman for me. But like I said, it's just my personal taste.
