With the Digital Entertainment Group and the UHD Alliance hosting a 4K Ultra HD Summit today at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, FandangoNOW recently surveyed over 1,500 film fans with 4K Ultra HD-compatible TVs to get their thoughts on which streaming movies they believed absolutely required 4K viewings at home.

A trifecta of critically-acclaimed comic book movies topped the list with Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight landing in the top spot, followed by the Russo Brothers' Avengers: Infinity War and Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok in second and third, respectively. Six comic book movies actually made it onto the Top 10 and thirteen comic book movies in total ended up making the list.

5x Academy Award-nominated director Christopher Nolan, who had five movies on the list (The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, Dunkirk), was also honored at the 4K Ultra HD Summit with the DEG Vanguard Award.

Following the results, Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said, “Our 4K survey reveals that fans are still excited about experiencing ‘The Dark Knight’ at home in the highest resolution and with the best sound available ten years after the film’s release. Watching a movie in 4K just enhances the entire viewing experience exponentially, and it's no wonder that audiences are navigating toward the films of Christopher Nolan, as he is one of the top filmmakers to fully embrace the technology in every way."

The dark knight was a good movie but from a visual standpoint I don't think I'd care to see it in 4k especially now that I watched that honest trailer and they pointed out Christian bale eye bump thing
