The first official clip from The Batman has found its way online, revealing an extended look at the funeral scene where Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson), Bella Reál (Jayme Lawson), and Commissioner James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) are present, paying their respects to the dearly departed.

However, things quickly take a turn when someone crashes the funeral, presumably under the Riddler's (Paul Dano) orders, and delivers an explosive message for The Batman.

A pair of new TV spots have also surfaced, seemingly confirming that tickets will finally go on sale on February 10, so make sure to mark your calendars to book your seats for the first major comic book movie of the year!

The film boasts an A-list ensemble headlined by Robert Pattinson (Tenet), with a supporting cast consisting of Zoë Kravitz (Big Little Lies) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Golden Globe-nominee Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood) as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Golden Globe-winner Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as Commissioner James Gordon, 2x Golden Globe-nominee John Turturro (The Night Of) as Carmine Falcone, Golden Globe-nominee Peter Sarsgaard (Green Lantern) as Gil Colson, Golden Globe-nominee Andy Serkis (Black Panther) as Alfred Pennyworth, Golden Globe-winner Colin Farrell (The Gentleman) as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, newcomer Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, BAFTA Film Award-nominee Barry Keoghan (Eternals; Dunkirk), Alex Ferns (Wrath of Man) as Commissioner Pete Savage, Rupert Penry-Jones (Match Point) as Don Mitchell Jr., and Con O'Neill (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) as Chief Mackenzie Bock.

Gil Perez-Abraham (Orange is the New Black) and twins Charlie Carver (Teen Wolf) and Max Carver (Teen Wolf) have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin (Little Fish). Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Greig Fraser will be behind the camera.

The Batman hits theaters March 4, 2022.

Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies—Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright)—amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

@TheWalkingCuban - So he is in the movie? Is there truly one version with Joker in it and one without? Literally am jazzing about him being in the movie. When or if this does not happen, you owe me a bbq sandwich in Memphis.

@DoubleD - A little nitpicky, but as soon as that lady noticed the bomb, everyone should've been rushing out the building. Instead they wait for the cops signal to evacuate lol. Like I said, a little nitpicky, but still very friggin excited.

@tmp3 - Ed Harris is a great actor but he's also 71. I don't know if I want to watch Batman beating up a grandpa.

@DanielPlainviewsGhost - The only time I've uncorked this name in a fancast...Alan Tudyk.

The obligatory Jason Isaacs thrown about isn't a bad choice either.
